BSc (Hons) Humanistic Counselling, MBACP
I am a Humanistic Counsellor, working in Brighton, Hove, and online. I am a Registered Member of the BACP and work in line with their code of ethics.I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities, and beliefs, and offer support with depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, relationship issues, anger, media-induced anxiety, and the unique pressures men may experience around masculinity and identity.Meaningful change can happen within a safe and non-judgemental relationship. I draw on Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis, alongside creativity and flexibility, to create a collaborative process tailored to you.Therapy can take place in the room, while walking outdoors, or during a Chinese tea session, where the meditative ritual opens space for conversation and reflection.
About Me
Hi, I’m Roy. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute in London. I came to counselling through my own journey of self-exploration and the wish to create spaces where people can feel truly heard. I bring warmth, openness, curiosity, and a creative approach into my work, alongside my own life experiences.I strive to build genuine, supportive therapeutic relationships, particularly in these divisive times, and I believe counselling should feel collaborative and human.Reaching out can feel like a big step, and it’s natural to feel unsure where to begin. You don’t have to go through things alone — when you feel ready, I’ll walk alongside you."The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." Carl Rogers
